Each item must have a unique <span class=\"highlight\">SKU<\/span>. The SKU is filled in automatically when creating an item. For this, you can define a number range, see <span style=\"color: #f68b25;\"><a style=\"color: #f68b25;\" href=\"https:\/\/guide.jtl-software.com\/en\/defining-number-ranges\/\">Defining number ranges<\/a><\/span>. You can overwrite the pre-filled SKU when creating an item. Please note the following:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"list-reset ml-3 list-icons list-custom-square list-wawi\">\n\t<li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\tIf you do not use an automatically created consecutive SKU, this might lead to duplicate SKUs.\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\tTo create listings for the marketplaces Amazon and eBay, the SKU (Amazon) or listing ID (eBay) is required. These numbers correspond to the SKU in JTL-Wawi.\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\tIf you already have existing listings on eBay, you may need to fill in this field later so that you can use JTL-Wawi for eBay listing management.\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\tIf you edit the SKU later on, this may lead to the deletion of the link to the corresponding Amazon listing.\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\tSKUs must not have more than 100 characters.\t<\/li><\/ul><div class=\"media-object media-object-border d-flex align-items-top\">\n\t\n\t\t\n\t\t<span class=\"mt-1 mr-3 flex-shrink-0 far fa-info-circle fa-2x columnsize-fa-2x text-wawi\"><\/span>\n\t\t\t<span class=\"media-content border-wawi\">\n\t\n\t\t\t<span style=\"color: #f68b25;\"><strong>Please note:<\/strong><\/span> Decide from the start on a comprehensible and clear structure for the SKUs and select them carefully. The SKU is transferred from JTL-Wawi to the online shop and is relevant for the <span class=\"highlight\">Online shop item search<\/span> as well as for the <span class=\"highlight\">Quickbuy<\/span> function.\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n<hr  \/>\n\t<p><strong>GTIN:<\/strong> In this field, you can optionally enter the <span class=\"highlight\">Global Trade Item Number (<span class=\"highlight\">GTIN<\/span>)<\/span>, formerly European Article Number (EAN). The GTIN is a unique number that is often already issued by the manufacturer as a bar code (on the label or packaging). It can be read by bar code scanners and is therefore a good option for reliable inventory management and efficient warehouse logistics. The GTIN is also transferred from JTL-Wawi to the online shop and is relevant for the <span class=\"highlight\">Online shop item search<\/span> as well as for the <span class=\"highlight\">Quick buy<\/span> function.<\/p>\n\t<p>You can assign your GTINs purchased from GS1-Germany via the GTIN management. To do this, click on the <span class=\"highlight\">plus icon<\/span> to automatically assign an unassigned GTIN that you have previously created, for example, by means of a CSV import. This way you can access the item again at a later point in time. Deactivated items remain in the assigned categories and only become visible again if you also display <span class=\"highlight\">Inactive items<\/span> above the item list in the item management.<\/p>\n<hr  \/>\n\t<p><strong>Item name:<\/strong> Enter a clear description of the item in this field. This item name will be displayed as the title (h1 headline) on the product page in the JTL-Shop. Unless you enter different (SEO) information, this item name is also used to generate the URL and the meta title of the product page. You can see the number of characters used in brackets. This value should help you when it comes to the display as well as the search engine-friendly processing of the item name.<\/p>\n<div class=\"media-object media-object-border d-flex align-items-top\">\n\t\n\t\t\n\t\t<span class=\"mt-1 mr-3 flex-shrink-0 far fa-info-circle fa-2x columnsize-fa-2x text-wawi\"><\/span>\n\t\t\t<span class=\"media-content border-wawi\">\n\t\n\t\t\t<span style=\"color: #f68b25;\"><strong>Please note:<\/strong><\/span> Please note that the <span class=\"highlight\">Item name<\/span> you have assigned will also be used for the listings or listing templates on Amazon and eBay. Therefore, it is important that you choose a precise and promotional item name.\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n<hr  \/>\n\t<p><strong>Sort number:<\/strong> In this field, you can assign consecutive numbers to sort your items within your online shop category and in JTL-Wawi. By default, your data will be directly transferred to the JTL-Shop after synchronisation, provided that the default sorting is selected in the back end of the online shop. Via the plus icon, you can open the manufacturer management of JTL-Wawi. The name of the manufacturer is transferred from JTL-Wawi to the JTL-Shop and is relevant for the filter navigation there. You can usually choose between the normal and the reduced tax rate. This price will be used if neither a special price nor a special customer group price for a sales channel is active. You have the option of adjusting it here. The average purchase price is also referred to as the moving average price (MAP). This takes into account the volume-weighted different purchase prices of the respective items, which were purchased during goods receipts and postings.
