In JTL-Wawi you have already created shipping methods to which you would like to link the shipping methods from JTL-Shop.\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"d-flex align-items-center\" id=\"step-1-preparations-in-jtl-wawi\">Step 1: Preparations in JTL-Wawi <span id='anchor-step-1-preparations-in-jtl-wawi' data-href='#step-1-preparations-in-jtl-wawi' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h2>\t<p>Before you start setting up shipping methods in JTL-Shop, you should make some preparations in JTL-Wawi. Of course, you may have done so beforehand already. In this case, simply skip the first step and go directly to step 2.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"d-flex align-items-center\" id=\"shipping-classes\">Shipping classes <span id='anchor-shipping-classes' data-href='#shipping-classes' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h3>\t<p>Shipping classes can be used to control the availability of shipping methods in JTL-Shop. For example, you may only want to offer the \u201cFreight forwarding\u201d shipping method for particularly large items. To do this, you can give all items with this property the shipping class \u201cbulky goods\u201d, for example. Items that require an age check by the delivery person could in turn be given the shipping class \u201cAge check 18\u201d.<\/p>\n\t<p>Think about a useful division of your assortment and create corresponding shipping classes in JTL-Wawi, which you can then assign to the items. <span style=\"color: #f68b25;\"><a style=\"color: #f68b25;\" href=\"https:\/\/guide.jtl-software.com\/jtl-wawi\/versand\/versandklassen-anlegen-bearbeiten\/\">Go to \u201cCreating shipping classes\u201d<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"d-flex align-items-center\" id=\"shipping-methods\">Shipping methods <span id='anchor-shipping-methods' data-href='#shipping-methods' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h3>\t<p>It is not quite as important, but it does make sense to already create all shipping methods in JTL-Wawi, with which you will later link the shipping methods from JTL-Shop. <span style=\"color: #f68b25;\"><a style=\"color: #f68b25;\" href=\"https:\/\/guide.jtl-software.com\/jtl-wawi\/versand\/versandarten-anlegen\/\">Go to \u201cCreating shipping methods<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"d-flex align-items-center\" id=\"customer-groups\">Customer groups <span id='anchor-customer-groups' data-href='#customer-groups' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h3>\t<p>Shipping methods in JTL-Shop can be restricted per customer group. This allows you to offer certain shipping methods such as cash on delivery only to certain customer groups, for example B2B customers.<\/p>\n<p>Create all the customer groups you need in JTL-Wawi and activate them for your JTL-Shop. Go to <span style=\"color: #f68b25;\"><a style=\"color: #f68b25;\" href=\"https:\/\/guide.jtl-software.com\/en\/jtl-wawi\/customers\/creating-customer-groups-in-jtl-wawi\/\">\u201cCreating customer groups\u201d<\/a><\/span> and to the dialogue box <span style=\"color: #5cbcf6;\"><a style=\"color: #5cbcf6;\" href=\"https:\/\/guide.jtl-software.com\/en\/jtl-shop\/jtl-shop-fee-based-editions\/online-shop-connection\/\">\u201cSales channel management\u201d<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"d-flex align-items-center\" id=\"step-2-creating-shipping-types-in-jtl-shop\">Step 2: Creating shipping types in JTL-Shop <span id='anchor-step-2-creating-shipping-types-in-jtl-shop' data-href='#step-2-creating-shipping-types-in-jtl-shop' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h2>\t<p>When creating shipping methods in JTL-Shop, you should always make sure that you offer shipping methods for each shipping class, customer group and destination country. At the same time, you should be careful not to offer your customers too many choices. You do not want to confuse them! For example, it is possible to create a single shipping method called <span class=\"highlight\">Package shipping<\/span> in JTL-Shop and change it afterwards in JTL-Wawi, for example using a workflow.<\/p>\n\t<p>In the following we assume that we need the following 3 shipping methods:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"list-reset ml-3 list-icons list-custom-square list-shop\">\n\t<li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\t<b>Domestic shipment Standard:<\/b> All packages sent within your country, e.g. Germany.\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\t<b>Domestic shipment Express:<\/b> In addition to standard shipments, you would also like to offer domestic express shipping.\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\t<b>International shipment:<\/b> All packages that are sent to another country than your own.\t<\/li><\/ul>\t<p>Of course, you can add any other alternatives to these shipping methods. Proceed as follows to create a shipping method:<\/p>\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"list-reset step mb-5 list-shop normal-step\">\n\t<li class=\"media-single-line\">\n\tLog in to the back end of JTL-Shop with your admin access data.<\/li><li >\n\tNavigate to <span class=\"highlight\">Administration &gt; Shipments &gt; Shipping methods<\/span>. This will take you to the \u201cShipping methods\u201d page. By default, no shipping method is available yet.<\/li><\/ol>\t\t\t\t\t\t<div data-gallery>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a itemprop=\"contentUrl\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img sizes=\"(max-width: 20em) 30vw, (max-width: 30em) 60vw, (max-width: 40em) 90vw\" data-pswp=\"[]\" class=\"border-defaultgray border-w-1 border img-fluid mb-5\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/a>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<ol start=\"3\" class=\"list-reset step mb-5 list-shop normal-step\">\n\t<li class=\"media-single-line\">\n\tFirst select one of the four basic shipping methods.<\/li><\/ol>\t<p>You can choose from the following:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"list-reset ml-3 list-icons list-custom-square list-shop\">\n\t<li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\t<b>Standard shipping costs according to destination country:<\/b> Use this option to set a price for shipping. This does not change even with different shopping basket contents.\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\t<b>Shipping costs according to item quantity and destination country:<\/b> With this option you set the cost depending on the number of items in the basket. It is possible to differentiate between different destination countries.\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\t<b>Shipping costs according to weight and destination country:<\/b> With this option you set the cost depending on the weight of the items in the basket. To do this, the shipping weight of the item must be correctly maintained in the item master data of JTL-Wawi. It is possible to differentiate between different destination countries.\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\t<b>Shipping costs according to goods value and destination country:<\/b> With this option you set the shipping costs depending on the value of the basket. It is possible to differentiate between different destination countries.\t<\/li><\/ul><ol start=\"4\" class=\"list-reset step mb-5 list-shop normal-step\">\n\t<li >\n\tIn our example, we choose <span class=\"highlight\">Standard shipping costs according to destination country<\/span>. Click <span class=\"highlight\">Create new shipping method<\/span>. This will take you to the <span class=\"highlight\">Creating a new shipping method<\/span> page. <span style=\"color: #5cbcf6;\"><a style=\"color: #5cbcf6;\" href=\"https:\/\/guide.jtl-software.com\/en\/jtl-shop\/system-administration\/creating-a-shipping-method\/\">Go to detailed description of all the settings<\/a><\/span>.<\/li><\/ol><div class=\"media-object media-object-border d-flex align-items-center\">\n\t\n\t\t\n\t\t<span class=\"mt-1 mr-3 flex-shrink-0 far fa-exclamation-circle fa-2x columnsize-fa-2x text-shop\"><\/span>\n\t\t\t<span class=\"media-content border-shop\">\n\t\n\t\t\t<b>Important note:<\/b> If you want to use decimal separators when creating or editing shipping methods, please use <span class=\"highlight\">a decimal point (.)<\/span> instead of <span class=\"highlight\"> commas (,)<\/span>.\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n<ol start=\"5\" class=\"list-reset step mb-5 list-shop normal-step\">\n\t<li >\n\tEnter an internal <span class=\"highlight\">Name<\/span> and the <span class=\"highlight\">Displayed name<\/span> for every language. The displayed name appears in the customer&#8217;s selection list of shipping options. If you do not want to display a name but an <span class=\"highlight\">image<\/span>, enter the corresponding image URL or path.<\/li><li >\n\tEnter the minimum and maximum delivery time in days here. This is used to automatically calculate the delivery time in JTL-Shop. You can also enter a free text for the delivery time for each language.<\/li><li class=\"media-single-line\">\n\tSpecify when this shipping method is available to the customer.<\/li><\/ol>\t<p>The following settings are possible:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"list-reset ml-3 list-icons list-custom-square list-shop\">\n\t<li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\tAlways\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\tOnly if this shipping method is the cheapest\t<\/li><\/ul><ol start=\"8\" class=\"list-reset step mb-5 list-shop normal-step\">\n\t<li >\n\tSelect for which shipping classes the dispatch type is to be offered. A shipping method is only ever offered if there are only items of the selected shipping classes in the basket.<\/li><\/ol><div id=\"parent_69e08cc42d2eb\" role=\"tablist\" aria-multiselectable=\"true\" class=\"accordion mb-5 parent_69e08cc42d2eb\">\n\t<div class=\"accordion-group\">\n\t<div class=\"accordion-header no-gradient collapsed\" role=\"tab\" id=\"group_69e08cc42d414\" data-toggle=\"collapse\" data-target=\"#group_69e08cc42d414_collapse\" aria-expanded=\"true\" aria-controls=\"group_69e08cc42d414_collapse\">\n\t\t<div class=\"accordion-title\">\n\t\t\tExcursion: Difference between shipping classes and shipping methods\t\t\t<span class=\"fas fa-caret-up indicator\"><\/span>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n\t<div id=\"group_69e08cc42d414_collapse\" class=\"accordion-collapse collapse \" role=\"tabpanel\" aria-labelledby=\"group_69e08cc42d414\" data-parent=\".parent_69e08cc42d2eb\">\n\t\t<div class=\"accordion-body clearfix\">\n\t\t\t\t<p><b>Why do I get this message in the ordering process: \u201cThere is no shipping method available for your order. Please contact us directly to process this order.\u201d?<\/b><\/p>\n\t<p>This message appears if no shipping method is available for the customer&#8217;s current basket contents. For each item combination, a shipping method must be available for every customer group and every destination country.<\/p>\n\t<p>Each item always has <b>exactly one shipping class<\/b>, which you define in JTL-Wawi. In JTL-Shop, there can be <strong>any number of shipping methods<\/strong>. In the shipping methods, you define for which shipping class combinations, customer groups and destination countries they are valid.<\/p>\n\t<p>Examples for the shipping classes:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"list-reset ml-3 list-icons list-custom-square list-shop\">\n\t<li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\tItem A has the shipping class: Letter\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\tItem B has the shipping class: Package\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\tItem C has the shipping class: Freight forwarding\t<\/li><\/ul>\t<p>Now there are 7 class combinations that can be created in the basket in the online shop:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"list-reset ml-3 list-icons list-custom-square list-shop\">\n\t<li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\tOnly A is in the basket or\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\tOnly B\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\tOnly C\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\tA AND B\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\tA AND C\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\tB AND C\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\tA AND B AND C\t<\/li><\/ul>\t<p>For each of these cases, a shipping method must now be set up in JTL-Shop so that JTL-Shop always knows how the current basket must be shipped. Please note that one shipping method can cover several of these cases. In our example, this makes sense for option C, \u201cFreight forwarding\u201d. Whenever a forwarding item is in the shopping basket, it will be shipped by forwarding, regardless of the other items in the basket. In our example, these would be the following cases:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"list-reset ml-3 list-icons list-custom-square list-shop\">\n\t<li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\tONLY C is in the basket\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\tA AND C are in the basket\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\tB AND C are in the basket\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\tA AND B AND C are in the basket\t<\/li><\/ul>\t<p>In the online shop, the shipping method <span class=\"highlight\">Freight forwarding<\/span> is always available if an item with the class <span class=\"highlight\">Freight forwarding<\/span> is in the basket, regardless of whether there are other letters or parcels in the basket.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please note:<\/strong> If the shipping method only applies to one customer group, the same cases must also be covered for all other customer groups of the online shop.<\/p>\n\t<p>Of course, several dispatch methods can also handle the same cases. For example, the shipping method <span class=\"highlight\">Letter Express<\/span> could be integrated that only applies to the case \u201cOnly A is in the basket\u201d. Then the customer would be able to choose freely between all shipping methods that the respective shipping class combination allows for. For example, <span class=\"highlight\">Letter<\/span> and <span class=\"highlight\">Express letter<\/span>. Both cover case A.<\/p>\n\t<p>It is also no problem if certain shipping methods only apply to certain customer groups or only to certain delivery countries. In addition, you can specify a surcharge or discount in euros or percent for each payment method.
