If your customer enters a shorter password, it will be rejected. A strong password has at least 8 characters.<\/p>\n<hr  \/>\n\t<p><b>Preselected country: <\/b>Select which country is preselected by default when creating a customer account or an order. Enter the two-digit ISO country code, e.g. GB for Great Britain, IE for Ireland, or US for the United States of America.<\/p>\n<div class=\"media-object media-object-border d-flex align-items-top\">\n\t\n\t\t\n\t\t<span class=\"mt-1 mr-3 flex-shrink-0 far fa-info-circle fa-2x columnsize-fa-2x text-shop\"><\/span>\n\t\t\t<span class=\"media-content border-shop\">\n\t\n\t\t\t<span style=\"color: #5cbcf6;\"><b>Note:<\/b><\/span> If a country is to be displayed in the country list, you must first create a shipping method with which it is possible to send goods to that country. As an alternative, you can also deactivate the option <span class=\"highlight\">Offer only countries with shipping method for selection<\/span>. For more information on this topic, click here:<span style=\"color: #5cbcf6;\"> <a style=\"color: #5cbcf6;\" href=\"https:\/\/guide.jtl-software.com\/en\/jtl-shop\/system-administration\/configuring-shipping-methods-in-jtl-shop\/\">Setting up shipping methods<\/a><\/span>.\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n<hr  \/>\n\t<p><b>Prompt federal state:<\/b> Select whether your customers will be asked for the federal state of the destination country if there are states or similar structures in the destination country (e.g. states of the USA, cantons of Switzerland, departments of France). If you make this field <span class=\"highlight\">mandatory<\/span>, your customers have to pick a state from a list. Some payment providers require a specification of state for specific countries. This is true, for example, for PayPal with shipments to the USA or Canada.<\/p>\n<hr  \/>\n\t<p><b>Check city for numbers:<\/b> Select whether the city names entered by the customer should be checked for numbers. Numbers may occur in this field, for example, if the customer has confused the fields <span class=\"highlight\">City<\/span> and <span class=\"highlight\">Postal code<\/span>. If this is the case, customers receive an error message and have to correct their input.<\/p>\n<hr  \/>\n\t<p><b>Check name for numbers:<\/b> Select whether the names entered by the customer should be checked for numbers. If this is the case, customers receive an error message and have to correct their input.<\/p>\n<hr  \/>\n\t<p><b>Check time needed for completion:<\/b> If you enable this option, JTL-Shop checks whether your customer needed at least 5 seconds to complete the details. This filters out bots completing the details automatically. If your customers use browser add-ons that automatically complete the fields, a very short completion time might lead to them being blocked.<\/p>\n<hr  \/>\n\t<p><b>Check email DNS:<\/b> If you enable this option, a check is run to determine whether the domain of the email address exists. Example: If your customer enters jane.smith@smith-sporting-goods.com, the JTL-Shop checks whether smith-sporting-goods.com is a legit domain. The check <strong>does not<\/strong> verify the actual email address.<\/p>\n<hr  \/>\n\t<p><b>Offer only countries with shipping method for selection:<\/b> Select whether all countries or only countries with shipping methods are to be displayed as a selection option in the forms. If you select <span class=\"highlight\">Yes, only available countries<\/span>, only countries for which at least one shipping method has been set up will be displayed. If you activate the option <span class=\"highlight\">Show all countries<\/span>, it may happen that customers indicate a country for the shipping address that you do not ship to. Consequently, no shipping method will be shown to your customers. This option only affects countries in shipping addresses. For billing addresses, customers can select any country.<\/p>\n<hr  \/>\n\t<p><b>Check postal codes:<\/b> If you activate this option, JTL-Shop checks whether the postal code entered by the customer matches the specified location. If this is not the case, customers receive an error message. However, they can choose to proceed with the entered details or correct the original ones.<\/p>\n<hr  \/>\n\t<p><b>Enable spam protection:<\/b> Select whether you want to enable spam protection when creating customer accounts. For this, Google reCAPTCHA must be set up for JTL-Shop.
