To do this, use one of the JTL-POS compatible devices from Epson.\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"d-flex align-items-center hl-wawi\" id=\"compatible-devices\">Compatible devices <span id='anchor-compatible-devices' data-href='#compatible-devices' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h2>\t<p>JTL-POS supports the following Epson devices:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"list-reset ml-3 list-icons list-pos\">\n\t<li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-check\"><\/span>\t\t<strong>Epson TM-m30:<\/strong>\u00a0Receipt printer that can be upgraded with a technical safety system using the separately available Fiscal Upgrade Kit (Fiscal Module). Requires firmware version 1.50 or higher.\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-check\"><\/span>\t\t<strong>Epson TM-m30II:<\/strong>\u00a0Follow-up model of the TM-m30, which can be upgraded with a technical safety system using the separately available Fiscal Upgrade Kit. The Android app is available free of charge in the Google Play Store. Additionally, please make sure that you are operating with the latest version of JTL-POS.\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\t<p>The following devices are currently <strong>not<\/strong> supported by JTL-POS:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"list-reset ml-3 list-icons list-custom-square list-pos\">\n\t<li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\t<strong>Epson TM-T88VI-iHub:\u00a0<\/strong>Receipt printer with integrated fiscal module. It does <strong>not<\/strong> come with a TSS.\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\t<strong>Epson TM-T88VI-iHub-F:\u00a0<\/strong><span class=\"media-content border-pos\">Receipt printer with integrated fiscal module. It does come with a TSS.<\/span>\t<\/li><\/ul><div class=\"media-object media-object-border d-flex align-items-top\">\n\t\n\t\t\n\t\t<span class=\"mt-1 mr-3 flex-shrink-0 far fa-info-circle fa-2x columnsize-fa-2x text-pos\"><\/span>\n\t\t\t<span class=\"media-content border-pos\">\n\t\n\t\t\t<span style=\"color: #336699;\"><strong>Please note:<\/strong><\/span> If you are using a device with a Google Chrome operating system, Epson receipt printers can only be connected via LAN.\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"d-flex align-items-center hl-wawi\" id=\"step-1-setting-up-the-printer\">Step 1: Setting up the printer <span id='anchor-step-1-setting-up-the-printer' data-href='#step-1-setting-up-the-printer' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h2>\t<p>Setting up a printer with a TSS is basically the same as setting up one without a TSS. To set up a printer in JTL-POS, please read <span style=\"color: #336699;\"><a style=\"color: #336699;\" href=\"https:\/\/guide.jtl-software.com\/en\/jtl-pos\/hardware\/connecting-a-printer-to-jtl-pos\/\">Connecting printers to JTL-POS<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"media-object media-object-border d-flex align-items-top\">\n\t\n\t\t\n\t\t<span class=\"mt-1 mr-3 flex-shrink-0 far fa-info-circle fa-2x columnsize-fa-2x text-pos\"><\/span>\n\t\t\t<span class=\"media-content border-pos\">\n\t\n\t\t\t<span style=\"color: #336699;\"><strong>Please note:<\/strong><\/span> When using an Epson TSS, we recommend setting up the receipt printer via the Ethernet interface as this usually provides the most stable and fastest connection.\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\t<p>If you are using a device with Google Chrome OS, you must connect the receipt printer via the <strong>Ethernet interface (LAN)<\/strong>, otherwise no connection can be made between the cash register and the TSS. Therefore, please ensure that you are operating with the latest version of JTL-POS.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"d-flex align-items-center hl-wawi\" id=\"step-2-bringing-the-tss-into-operation\">Step 2: Bringing the TSS into operation <span id='anchor-step-2-bringing-the-tss-into-operation' data-href='#step-2-bringing-the-tss-into-operation' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h2>\t<p>First, you need to set up the TSS in JTL-POS. To do this, read the following instructions:<\/p>\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"list-reset step mb-5 list-pos normal-step\">\n\t<li >\n\tGo to the JTL-POS menu and select <span class=\"highlight\">Settings &gt; Technical safety system<\/span>. The printer selection options will now appear.<\/li><li class=\"media-single-line\">\n\tSelect the same printer that you set up in step one and apply the changes by clicking on <span class=\"highlight\">Save and restart app<\/span>. Confirm your entry and finish the installation by selecting <span class=\"highlight\">Continue<\/span>.\t<\/li><\/ul><div class=\"media-object media-object-border d-flex align-items-top\">\n\t\n\t\t\n\t\t<span class=\"mt-1 mr-3 flex-shrink-0 far fa-info-circle fa-2x columnsize-fa-2x text-pos\"><\/span>\n\t\t\t<span class=\"media-content border-pos\">\n\t\n\t\t\t<span style=\"color: #336699;\"><strong>Please note:<\/strong><\/span> If you have already linked a TSS and would like to import a new database, you must select and run the <span class=\"highlight\">Change TSS<\/span> function instead of the <span class=\"highlight\">Connect TSS<\/span> function.\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"media-object media-object-border d-flex align-items-top\">\n\t\n\t\t\n\t\t<span class=\"mt-1 mr-3 flex-shrink-0 far fa-info-circle fa-2x columnsize-fa-2x text-pos\"><\/span>\n\t\t\t<span class=\"media-content border-pos\">\n\t\n\t\t\t<span style=\"color: #336699;\"><strong>Please note:<\/strong><\/span> If you did not assign any PINs or PUKs when you first set up the TSS, please contact your previous POS software provider.\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n<ol start=\"8\" class=\"list-reset step mb-5 list-pos normal-step\">\n\t<li >\n\tThe technical safety system is now operational. This can take a moment.<\/li><\/ol><div class=\"media-object media-object-border d-flex align-items-top\">\n\t\n\t\t\n\t\t<span class=\"mt-1 mr-3 flex-shrink-0 far fa-exclamation-circle fa-2x columnsize-fa-2x text-danger\"><\/span>\n\t\t\t<span class=\"media-content border-danger\">\n\t\n\t\t\t<span style=\"color: #dc3545;\"><strong>Attention:<\/strong><\/span> Wait until successful setup is confirmed by a receipt with the specified PINs and the PUK along with other important information related to the TSS setup. <strong>Keep this information safe<\/strong>, otherwise the TSS will no longer be accessible.\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"d-flex align-items-center hl-wawi\" id=\"step-3-add-the-tss-information-to-receipts-and-business-expenses-receipts\">Step 3: Add the TSS information to receipts and business expenses receipts <span id='anchor-step-3-add-the-tss-information-to-receipts-and-business-expenses-receipts' data-href='#step-3-add-the-tss-information-to-receipts-and-business-expenses-receipts' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h2>\t<p>You must also add the information about the TSS to all receipts and business expenses receipts. Use the following variables to do so:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"list-reset ml-3 list-icons list-custom-square list-pos\">\n\t<li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\t<strong>$tse_footer$: <\/strong>Issues the signature of the TSS. The information in the signature comes directly from Epson and cannot be edited. This variable is <strong>obligatory<\/strong>.\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\t<strong>$tse_sn$: <\/strong>TSS serial number. According to the German cash register regulation \u201cKassensicherungsverordnung\u201d\u00a0(KassenSichV), receipts must either contain the serial number of the cash register or that of the TSS. This variable is <strong>optional<\/strong>.\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\t<strong>$tse_qr$: <\/strong>Issues the signature of the TSS as a QR code. The QR code can only be added to printed receipts. It will not displayed on receipts sent via email. This variable is <strong>optional<\/strong>.\t<\/li><\/ul><div class=\"media-object media-object-border d-flex align-items-top\">\n\t\n\t\t\n\t\t<span class=\"mt-1 mr-3 flex-shrink-0 far fa-info-circle fa-2x columnsize-fa-2x text-pos\"><\/span>\n\t\t\t<span class=\"media-content border-pos\">\n\t\n\t\t\t<span class=\"media-content border-pos\"><span style=\"color: #336699;\"><strong>Please note:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0If the TSS signature QR code is not printed correctly,<\/span>add a &lt;BR&gt; line break before the\u00a0<strong>$tse_qr$<\/strong> variable.\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\t<p>Go to <span style=\"color: #336699;\"><a style=\"color: #336699;\" href=\"https:\/\/guide.jtl-software.com\/en\/jtl-pos\/hardware\/setting-up-print-templates-for-receipts\/\">Setting up print templates<\/a><\/span> to learn how to add variables to receipts and business expenses receipts.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"d-flex align-items-center hl-wawi\" id=\"connecting-multiple-pos-systems-to-an-already-set-up-epson-tss\">Connecting multiple POS systems to an already set up Epson TSS <span id='anchor-connecting-multiple-pos-systems-to-an-already-set-up-epson-tss' data-href='#connecting-multiple-pos-systems-to-an-already-set-up-epson-tss' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h2>\t<p>For those that already have a TSS connected to a cash register and would now like to connect this TSS to a new cash register.
