On this pick list, the employee sees from which storage location they can pick which item in which quantity. The items are collected on a picking trolley. There is no sorting by sales orders on this trolley. This process is called collective picking.<\/p>\n<p><b>Using JTL-WMS\u00a0Mobile:<\/b> Collective picking can also be carried out with JTL-WMS Mobile. This makes picking easier because the employee is guided to the individual storage locations in a route-optimised manner. Among other things, employees are also shown item images, which facilitates picking. By scanning the item&#8217;s bar code, the quantity is posted directly to the picking trolley. That way, the stock level in JTL-WMS always corresponds to the actual stocks. With collective picking with slips of paper and without JTL-WMS Mobile, the posting of removing the stock from the storage location is not communicated to JTL-WMS until much later. In addition, when using JTL-WMS Mobile, you can immediately record shortages or wrong stock levels and correct them.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mb-5 btn-helper m--1\">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/guide.jtl-software.com\/en\/jtl-wms\/jtl-wms-mobile\/collective-picking-with-jtl-wms-mobile\/\" title=\"Goods issue with JTL-WMS\u00a0Mobile\" class=\"btn-wms btn m-1\">\n\t\tGoods issue with JTL-WMS\u00a0Mobile<\/a><\/div>\t<p>After the pick list has been completed, all required items should be on the picking trolley. Take the trolley to the packing bench. Start the packing process by opening the <span class=\"highlight\">EazyShipping<\/span> dialogue in JTL-WMS. Take any item from the trolley and scan the bar code. JTL-WMS identifies the corresponding sales order. If there is only that one item in the sales order, the invoice, delivery note and shipping label can be printed directly. If the shipping methods are preset correctly, then scanning the item if sufficient to trigger the printing process. The complete sales order can therefore be sent, printed and reported in just one scan!<\/p>\n<p>If there are more items that belong to the sales order, these must also be processed and packed. Therefore JTL-WMS shows you which items are still missing. Take the respective items from the picking trolley and scan them. While this process is great for some setups, it might not be the best choice for others.<br \/>\nBelow you will find two examples for one good and one bad setup for sales orders with more than one item.<\/p>\n<div class=\"media-object media-object-border d-flex align-items-top\">\n\t\n\t\t\n\t\t<span class=\"mt-1 mr-3 flex-shrink-0 far fa-exclamation-circle fa-2x columnsize-fa-2x text-wms\"><\/span>\n\t\t\t<span class=\"media-content border-wms\">\n\t\n\t\t\t<b>Please note:<\/b> For sales orders with one item, this process is always the best choice.\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"media-object media-object-border d-flex align-items-top\">\n\t\n\t\t\t\t<span class=\"mt-1 mr-3 fa-stack flex-shrink-0 fa-1x columnsize-fa-2x\">\n\t\t<span class=\"far fa-circle fa-stack-2x text-wms\"><\/span>\n\t\n\t\t<span class=\"fas fa-thumbtack text-wms fa-stack-1x\"><\/span>\n\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t<span class=\"media-content border-wms\">\n\t\n\t\t\t<b>Worst case scenario:<\/b> There are 100 different items on the picking trolley. After scanning item A, the employee still has to scan item B because these items are part of the same order. If item B is now at the bottom of the picking trolley or is very small, the employee may have to spend some time searching for it.\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"media-object media-object-border d-flex align-items-top\">\n\t\n\t\t\t\t<span class=\"mt-1 mr-3 fa-stack flex-shrink-0 fa-1x columnsize-fa-2x\">\n\t\t<span class=\"far fa-circle fa-stack-2x text-wms\"><\/span>\n\t\n\t\t<span class=\"fas fa-thumbtack text-wms fa-stack-1x\"><\/span>\n\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\t\t<span class=\"media-content border-wms\">\n\t\n\t\t\t<b>Best case scenario:<\/b> There are 100 items on the picking trolley, some of them several times. These items are top-selling items that are part of many sales orders. When an employee scans an item of a sales order to which another item on the picking trolley also belongs, the second item will probably be found very quickly. There are, after all, several pieces of it on the trolley. The more often different sales orders contain the same items, the more efficient working with EazyShipping will be.\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"d-flex align-items-center hl-wawi\" id=\"advantages\">Advantages <span id='anchor-advantages' data-href='#advantages' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h3><ul class=\"list-reset ml-3 list-icons list-custom-square list-wms\">\n\t<li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\t<b>Simple, streamlined process:<\/b> Very easy to learn. No complicated problem cases.\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\t<b>Optimal process for orders with one item:<\/b> After picking, one scan is sufficient to print all documents and labels, send the notifications to the recipient and the online shop systems or platforms, and do an outbound posting for the stock. A mixture of sales orders with one item and several items also allows for optimal processing. If an item is part of several orders, JTL-WMS always selects the order with the fewest items first. This guaranties that employees do not have to search for many items on a full trolley.\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\t<b>No special fixtures necessary:<\/b> You do not need special fixtures such as shipping boxes or special picking trolleys with boxes.\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\t<b>Mobile devices are optional:<\/b> You can also carry out the process without mobile devices.\t<\/li><\/ul><h3 class=\"d-flex align-items-center hl-wawi\" id=\"disadvantages\">Disadvantages <span id='anchor-disadvantages' data-href='#disadvantages' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h3><ul class=\"list-reset ml-3 list-icons list-custom-square list-wms\">\n\t<li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\t<b>You cannot pre-pick items.<\/b> Pre-picking means that partially available orders can already be picked and the respective item quantities are removed from available stock. The order will then be processed once the missing items are posted to the warehouse via a goods receipt. Pre-picking is only possible with the shipping process \u201cShipping boxes\u201d.\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\t<b>A division of the warehouse into picking zones only makes sense if the items are stored chaotically.<\/b> Usually, if picking zones are used, pick lists are limited to a respective zone. However, if each item can only be found in one zone and the sales order includes items from multiple zones, the sales order could not be delivered. Pick lists bundle several sales orders to enable route-optimised picking.<br \/>\n<b>You will find all important information on this here:<\/b><\/p>\n<div class=\"mb-5 btn-helper m--1\">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/guide.jtl-software.com\/en\/creating-and-editing-pick-list-templates-in-jtl-wms\/\" title=\"Managing pick lists and pick list templates in JTL-WMS\" class=\"btn-wms btn m-1\">\n\t\tManaging pick lists and pick list templates in JTL-WMS<\/a><\/div><h2 class=\"d-flex align-items-center hl-wawi\" id=\"picking-items\">Picking items <span id='anchor-picking-items' data-href='#picking-items' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h2>\t<p>In the <span class=\"highlight\">EazyShipping<\/span> process, picking can be done with or without <span class=\"highlight\">JTL-WMS\u00a0Mobile<\/span>. If you do not work with a PDT, retrieve the goods from the warehouse using the printed pick list. If you are working with PDT, call up the <span class=\"highlight\">collective picking<\/span> dialogue.<\/p>\n<div class=\"media-object media-object-border d-flex align-items-top\">\n\t\n\t\t\n\t\t<span class=\"mt-1 mr-3 flex-shrink-0 far fa-info-circle fa-2x columnsize-fa-2x text-wms\"><\/span>\n\t\t\t<span class=\"media-content border-wms\">\n\t\n\t\t\t<b>Important note for picking:<\/b> When picking with JTL-WMS\u00a0Mobile, the status of the pick list line items changes from <span class=\"highlight\">Created<\/span> to <span class=\"highlight\">Picked<\/span> and the items are posted from the storage location to the picking trolley. This is possible because JTL-WMS Mobile tells JTL-WMS directly when the employee places the item on the picking trolley. If picking is done without JTL-WMS Mobile, JTL-WMS does not record the actual picking and transfer of the goods from the storage location to the picking trolley. Therefore, the goods in JTL-WMS are still posted to the storage location and the items in the pick list still have the status <span class=\"highlight\">Created<\/span>.\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"media-object media-object-border d-flex align-items-top\">\n\t\n\t\t\n\t\t<span class=\"mt-1 mr-3 flex-shrink-0 far fa-info-circle fa-2x columnsize-fa-2x text-wms\"><\/span>\n\t\t\t<span class=\"media-content border-wms\">\n\t\n\t\t\t<b>Important:<\/b> For all later processes in JTL-WMS (e.g. <span class=\"highlight\">Fill boxes<\/span> or <span class=\"highlight\">EazyShipping<\/span>), it doesn&#8217;t matter if picking was done with or without JTL-WMS\u00a0Mobile.
