If you have already created test items and categories in JTL-POS and later connect JTL-POS to JTL-Wawi, you can no longer edit or delete these items and categories. If you have already created items in JTL-POS for testing purposes and would now like to use JTL-POS productively with JTL-Wawi, we recommend that you do not transfer the demo database to your operational system. When the demo version is converted to an operational version, you are automatically asked whether you want to keep the database. If you have run tests on an operational version, back up the database if necessary, uninstall JTL-POS, and then reinstall it. You can thus start with a new database that contains only items from JTL-Wawi, for which you have enabled synchronisation.\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"mb-5 d-flex align-items-center hl-pos\" id=\"requirements-restrictions\">Requirements\/Restrictions <span id='anchor-requirements-restrictions' data-href='#requirements-restrictions' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h3><ul class=\"list-reset ml-3 list-icons list-pos\">\n\t<li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-check\"><\/span>\t\tFrom JTL-POS 1.0 on, at least JTL-Wawi version 1.5.14.3. Versions 1.5.55.2, 1.6.38.2, or higher are strongly recommended.\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-check\"><\/span>\t\tThe Android device on which you want to use JTL-POS must be logged in to the same network as the JTL-Wawi server. Alternatively, the JTL-Wawi server must be publicly accessible, like JTL-Wawi Cloud.\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-check\"><\/span>\t\tThe JTL-Wawi servers must each be assigned a static IP address. The IP may not be 127.0.0.1 (localhost).\t<\/li><\/ul><h2 class=\"mb-5 d-flex align-items-center hl-pos\" id=\"firewall-settings\">Firewall settings <span id='anchor-firewall-settings' data-href='#firewall-settings' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h2><div class=\"mt-5 media-object media-object-border d-flex align-items-top\">\n\t\n\t\t\n\t\t<span class=\"mt-1 mr-3 flex-shrink-0 far fa-info-circle fa-2x columnsize-fa-2x text-pos\"><\/span>\n\t\t\t<span class=\"media-content border-pos\">\n\t\n\t\t\t<span style=\"color: #336699;\"><b>Please note: <\/b><\/span>If you are working with Windows Defender and have local admin rights, you can skip this step as the correct firewall settings will be set automatically by JTL-Wawi. JTL-Wawi also tries to define the settings for other firewall programs. Depending on the permissions offered by the program, you have to adjust the settings manually as described in this documentation. Even if your system is managed by a system administrator, for example, the administrator must abide by the documentation. Depending on the configuration of your system, the optimal configuration of your firewall may differ from this description. In order to avoid security gaps in your company\u2019s network, please consult the administrator who manages your network and firewall settings.\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"mb-5 d-flex align-items-center hl-pos\" id=\"adding-inbound-outbound-rules\">Adding inbound\/outbound rules <span id='anchor-adding-inbound-outbound-rules' data-href='#adding-inbound-outbound-rules' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h3>\t<p>The following description applies to both the creation of an inbound rule and an outbound rule.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"list-reset step mb-5 list-pos normal-step\">\n\t<li >\n\tFrom the client or server on which the JTL-Wawi database is located, open the <span class=\"highlight\">Firewall and network protection<\/span> dialogue box via the <span class=\"highlight\">Windows menu<\/span> &gt; <span class=\"highlight\">Settings<\/span> &gt; <span class=\"highlight\">Network and internet<\/span> &gt; <span class=\"highlight\">Status<\/span> &gt; <span class=\"highlight\">Windows Firewall<\/span>.<\/li><li class=\"media-single-line\">\n\tClick on <span class=\"highlight\">Advanced settings<\/span>.<\/li><li >\n\tOn the left, select <span class=\"highlight\">Inbound rules<\/span>. If you have already created the inbound rule, select <span class=\"highlight\">Outbound rules<\/span>.<\/li><li class=\"media-single-line\">\n\tOn the right side, select the menu item <span class=\"highlight\">New rule\u2026<\/span>.<span class=\"highlight\">\r\n<\/span><\/li><li class=\"media-single-line\">\n\tFor the rule type, select <span class=\"highlight\">Custom<\/span> and click <span class=\"highlight\">Next<\/span>.<\/li><li >\n\tIn the next step, under <span class=\"highlight\">Program<\/span>, select <span class=\"highlight\">All programs<\/span> and then click <span class=\"highlight\">Next<\/span>.<\/li><li class=\"media-single-line\">\n\tSelect <span class=\"highlight\">TCP<\/span> as the protocol type.<\/li><li class=\"media-single-line\">\n\tUnder <span class=\"highlight\">Local port<\/span>, select <span class=\"highlight\">Specific ports<\/span> and enter <span class=\"highlight\">443<\/span> as the port.<\/li><li class=\"media-single-line\">\n\tUnder <span class=\"highlight\">Remote port<\/span>, select <span class=\"highlight\">Specific ports<\/span> and enter <span class=\"highlight\">443<\/span> as the port.<\/li><li class=\"media-single-line\">\n\tClick <span class=\"highlight\">Next<\/span>.<\/li><li >\n\tUnder <span class=\"highlight\">Which local IP addresses does this rule apply to?<\/span>, select <span class=\"highlight\">These IP addresses<\/span> and click on <span class=\"highlight\">Add<\/span>.<\/li><li >\n\tSelect <span class=\"highlight\">These IP addresses<\/span>, enter the IP address of the JTL-Wawi server and click <span class=\"highlight\">OK<\/span>.<\/li><li >\n\tUnder <span class=\"highlight\">Which remote IP addresses does this rule apply to?<\/span>, select the option <span class=\"highlight\">Any IP address<\/span>.<\/li><li class=\"media-single-line\">\n\tClick <span class=\"highlight\">Next<\/span>.<\/li><li class=\"media-single-line\">\n\tIn the <span class=\"highlight\">Action<\/span> step, select <span class=\"highlight\">Allow the connection<\/span> and click <span class=\"highlight\">Next<\/span>.<\/li><li >\n\tIn the <span class=\"highlight\">Profile<\/span> step, select the Firewall profiles to which this rule applies and click <span class=\"highlight\">Next<\/span>.<\/li><li >\n\tLastly, in the <span class=\"highlight\">Name<\/span> step, enter a unique name for the rule in the <span class=\"highlight\">Name<\/span> field and, optionally, enter a description.<\/li><li class=\"media-single-line\">\n\tThen click <span class=\"highlight\">Finish<\/span>.<\/li><\/ol>\t<p>Once you have created the inbound rule, repeat steps <span style=\"color: #324350;\"><a style=\"color: #324350;\" href=\"https:\/\/guide.jtl-software.com\/en\/jtl-pos\/setup\/connecting-jtl-pos-to-jtl-wawi\/#eingehende-regel-ausgehende-regel-hinzufuegen\">1\u201318<\/a><\/span> to create an outbound rule. However, in <span class=\"highlight\">Step 3<\/span>, select <span class=\"highlight\">Outbound rules<\/span> from the menu.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"mb-5 d-flex align-items-center hl-pos\" id=\"connecting-jtl-pos-to-jtl-wawi-2\">Connecting JTL-POS to JTL-Wawi <span id='anchor-connecting-jtl-pos-to-jtl-wawi-2' data-href='#connecting-jtl-pos-to-jtl-wawi-2' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h2><h3 class=\"d-flex align-items-center hl-wawi\" id=\"changing-settings-in-jtl-wawi\">Changing settings in JTL-Wawi <span id='anchor-changing-settings-in-jtl-wawi' data-href='#changing-settings-in-jtl-wawi' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h3><div class=\"media-object media-object-border d-flex align-items-top\">\n\t\n\t\t\n\t\t<span class=\"mt-1 mr-3 flex-shrink-0 far fa-info-circle fa-2x columnsize-fa-2x text-pos\"><\/span>\n\t\t\t<span class=\"media-content border-pos\">\n\t\n\t\t\t<span style=\"color: #336699;\"><strong>Please note:<\/strong><\/span> You need Windows administrator rights for the following steps. You must log in once as a Windows administrator during the setup and give JTL-Wawi the authorisation to make the required changes. You can then continue working as a Windows user without administrator rights.\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"list-reset step mb-5 list-pos normal-step\">\n\t<li class=\"media-single-line\">\n\tOpen JTL-Wawi, version 1.4.30.2 or higher.<\/li><li class=\"media-single-line\">\n\tGo to <span class=\"highlight\">Admin<\/span> &gt; <span class=\"highlight\">Global settings<\/span>, and the <span class=\"highlight\">Global settings<\/span> dialogue box will open.<\/li><li class=\"media-single-line\">\n\tSwitch to the <span class=\"highlight\">Server settings<\/span> tab.<\/li><li >\n\tClick on <span class=\"highlight\">Configure server<\/span>. The dialogue box <span class=\"highlight\">Interface configuration for JTL-POS<\/span> will open.<\/li><li >\n\tEnter the IP address of the JTL-Wawi server in the field <span class=\"highlight\">IP address<\/span>. If there are several options available, please do <strong>not<\/strong> select 127.0.0.1 (localhost).<\/li><li class=\"media-single-line\">\n\tEnter the <span class=\"highlight\">443<\/span> port into the <span class=\"highlight\">Port<\/span> field.<\/li><li class=\"media-single-line\">\n\tIf necessary, create a new certificate by clicking on <span class=\"highlight\">Create certificate<\/span>.<\/li><li class=\"media-single-line\">\n\tConfirm with <span class=\"highlight\">OK<\/span>.<\/li><\/ol><div class=\"media-object media-object-border d-flex align-items-top\">\n\t\n\t\t\n\t\t<span class=\"mt-1 mr-3 flex-shrink-0 far fa-info-circle fa-2x columnsize-fa-2x text-pos\"><\/span>\n\t\t\t<span class=\"media-content border-pos\">\n\t\n\t\t\t<span style=\"color: #336699;\"><strong>Please note:<\/strong><\/span> As a rule, it is best to create a new certificate, as this is valid indefinitely.
