Different tenants (Mandanten) usually have separate tax numbers and a separate product range. Jane Doe could thus manage her company A that sells IT equipment while her husband manages company B that sells sportswear. Company A and B have different warehousing, letter heads, etc. Technically, a JTL-Wawi tenant corresponds to a database with its own, independent data. Each tenant in JTL-Wawi can have\u00a0one or more external appearances, e.g. online shops.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"d-flex align-items-center hl-wawi\" id=\"the-data\">The data <span id='anchor-the-data' data-href='#the-data' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h3>\t<p>A new database is created for each tenant. The permitted size depends on the type of database used:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"list-reset ml-3 list-icons list-custom-square list-wawi\">\n\t<li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\tfor the free Microsoft SQL 2017 Express database: 10GB\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\tfor the fee-based Microsoft SQL database: any size.\t<\/li><\/ul>\t<p>Note that the product images are also stored in the database. The images do not slow down the database, but it grows larger more quickly. A database with a size of 1\u00a0GB can manage about 20,000 items, each with a 50\u00a0KB image. Data on customers, orders and invoices does not take up a lot of storage space. As a rule of thumb, 95% of the size of a database is taken up by image data.<\/p>\n\t<p>Should you need more space than is available on the free database version, you can switch to the fee-based Microsoft\u00a0SQL database at any time. JTL-Software is happy to provide assistance with switching to the fee-based version.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"d-flex align-items-center hl-wawi\" id=\"tenant-management-and-jtl-eazyauction\">Tenant management and JTL-eazyAuction <span id='anchor-tenant-management-and-jtl-eazyauction' data-href='#tenant-management-and-jtl-eazyauction' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h2>\t<p>Within a JTL-Wawi tenant, you can operate several marketplace connections with several marketplace accounts within the same JTL-eazyAuction pricing plan (see also:\u00a0<span class=\"ui-provider ec bdi bdj bdk bdl bdm bdn bdo bdp bdq bdr bds bdt bdu bdv bdw bdx bdy bdz bea beb bec bed bee bef beg beh bei bej bek bel bem ben beo bep\"><a href=\"https:\/\/guide.jtl-software.com\/jtl-kundencenter\/lizenzen-fuer-jtl-eazyauction-buchen\/\"><u>Booking licenses for JTL-eazyAuction<\/u><\/a>).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>However, you cannot use the same marketplace account with its access data in several JTL-Wawi tenants, i.e. operating environments.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"list-reset ml-3 list-icons list-custom-square list-wawi\">\n\t<li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\tA marketplace account may only be used by exactly one tenant. Otherwise, global messages sent to this marketplace account will be inconsistent.\t<\/li><li >\n\t\t\t<span class=\"list-icon fas fa-square\"><\/span>\t\tExample: A marketplace account on eBay, the so-called eBay user, should only be activated by exactly one JTL customer account (and thus JTL-Wawi tenant), as the messages to this marketplace account\/eBay user cannot be allocated correctly otherwise.\t<\/li><\/ul>\t<p>If you want to use JTL-eazyAuction with multiple tenants, you need a separate JTL customer account for each tenant and a separate JTL-eazyAuction pricing plan. This also creates an independent, separate JTL-eazyAuction account in our system.<\/p>\n<div class=\"media-object media-object-border d-flex align-items-top\">\n\t\n\t\t\n\t\t<span class=\"mt-1 mr-3 flex-shrink-0 far fa-exclamation-circle fa-2x columnsize-fa-2x text-wawi\"><\/span>\n\t\t\t<span class=\"media-content border-wawi\">\n\t\n\t\t\tIt is prohibited to use a single eBay user for multiple tenants. Even though it is possible, it will inevitably cause inconsistencies of the databases. Please ask if you are unsure about anything.\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"d-flex align-items-center hl-wawi\" id=\"managing-tenants\">Managing tenants <span id='anchor-managing-tenants' data-href='#managing-tenants' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h2>\t<p>In the menu item&nbsp;<span class=\"highlight\">Start<\/span>&nbsp;, select the item&nbsp;<span class=\"highlight\">Database<\/span>. The database administration of JTL-Wawi opens.<\/p>\n\t<p>Here you can create additional tenants or delete existing ones.<\/p>\n\t<p>Furthermore, it is possible to import tenant backup files (BAK files). You will need the administrator password for the database (default: sa04jT14).<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"d-flex align-items-center\" id=\"tenant-database-backups\">Tenant database backups <span id='anchor-tenant-database-backups' data-href='#tenant-database-backups' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h2>\t<p>Database backups can be performed as usual.
