In order to update to one of the current versions of JTL-Wawi, you must first update the database from JTL-Wawi 0.99923 to JTL-Wawi 1.0. You can then update JTL-Wawi 1.0 to any other more current version.\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\t<p>The update to JTL-Wawi 1.0 comes with a variety of changes. In addition to the new features, many existing modules have been modified, optimised and rearranged. Please go through this checklist step by step and adjust your JTL-Wawi accordingly if one of the scenarios applies to you. Please understand that we cannot consider all specifics of your online business and your JTL-Wawi configuration in the checklist. We therefore ask you not to follow the instructions blindly but think about the possible impact on your processes and operations, as well.<\/p>\n<div class=\"media-object media-object-border d-flex align-items-top\">\n\t\n\t\t\n\t\t<span class=\"mt-1 mr-3 flex-shrink-0 far fa-info-circle fa-2x columnsize-fa-2x text-wawi\"><\/span>\n\t\t\t<span class=\"media-content border-wawi\">\n\t\n\t\t\t<b>Our recommendation: Make sure to allow for enough time!\r\n<\/b>Ideally, you should carry out the update at the weekend or after working hours. Experience shows that there will be many smaller and bigger changes that you might not expect and could interfere with your daily business. Example: All images are loaded to your client during the update, which may take some time. If you are using a lot of images, we recommend that you perform an update directly on your server to reduce the duration of the update. It might also be a good idea to use a test system.\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"pl-6 media-object media-object-border d-flex align-items-top\">\n\t\n\t\t\n\t\t<span class=\"mt-1 mr-3 flex-shrink-0 far fa-exclamation-circle fa-2x columnsize-fa-2x text-wawi\"><\/span>\n\t\t\t<span class=\"media-content border-wawi\">\n\t\n\t\t\t<b>Exception: You are using JTL-Hosting.&nbsp;<\/b>If your JTL-Wawi SQL database is hosted by JTL, we kindly ask you to perform the update during our support hours. The reason for this is that you cannot perform a manual restore yourself, which means that only JTL can restore a backup, if necessary.\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\t<p>For users of JTL-eazyAuction eBay, there is a special subsection <a href=\"https:\/\/guide.jtl-software.com\/jtl-wawi\/installation\/checkliste-zum-umstieg-von-jtl-wawi-0-99923-auf-jtl-wawi-1-0\/checkliste-zum-umstieg-von-jtl-wawi-0-99923-auf-jtl-wawi-1-0\/?preview_id=90226&amp;preview_nonce=52ea9a105e&amp;_thumbnail_id=-1&amp;preview=true#ebay-anpassen\">Adjusting eBay settings<\/a> that lists several important adjustments that must be made. Learn about the new structures and make the required adjustments.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"d-flex align-items-center\" id=\"jtl-shop-319\">JTL-Shop 3.19 <span id='anchor-jtl-shop-319' data-href='#jtl-shop-319' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h3>\t<p>Due to the&nbsp;<b>new image structure<\/b>&nbsp;in JTL-Wawi, all users of JTL-Shop version 3.19 need to reset their shops, including the images, and repopulate it using the online shop synchronisation. You do not need to make any changes if you have already updated to the current JTL-Shop version 3.20 before updating to JTL-Wawi 1.0. The new&nbsp;<b>Multishop Module 2.0<\/b>&nbsp;allows you to save descriptions, meta information and images for each shop system. Therefore, the licence model of the Multishop Module has changed:<\/p>\n<div class=\"media-object media-object-border d-flex align-items-top\">\n\t\n\t\t\n\t\t<span class=\"mt-1 mr-3 flex-shrink-0 far fa-info-circle fa-2x columnsize-fa-2x text-wawi\"><\/span>\n\t\t\t<span class=\"media-content border-wawi\">\n\t\n\t\t\tWith the former Multishop Module 1.0, you could only connect new shop systems to JTL-Wawi. The new&nbsp;<b>Multishop Module 2.0<\/b>&nbsp;allows you to save descriptions, meta information and images for each shop system. Therefore, the licence model of the Multishop Module has changed:\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n\t<p>Further information on setting up and activating the module can be found here:&nbsp;<a class=\"JTL-Shop-color\" title=\"Connecting multiple shops using the Multishop Module\" href=\"https:\/\/guide.jtl-software.com\/en\/jtl-shop\/extending-the-online-shop\/\">Multishop Module 2.0<\/a><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"d-flex align-items-center\" id=\"connectors-parent-items-and-child-items\">Connectors\/Parent items and child items <span id='anchor-connectors-parent-items-and-child-items' data-href='#connectors-parent-items-and-child-items' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h3>\t<p>With the old JTL-Wawi version 099923, the GPL connector from 2006 sent the parent items to the shop as \u201cnormal&#8221; variation items. Customers could then buy these variation items in your online shop. When a purchase was made, these sales orders caused a non-defined state in JTL-Wawi and could not simply be shipped to the customer. Instead, you had to delete the sales line item and select the respective child item to continue with the order.<\/p>\n\t<p>In JTL-Wawi versions 1.0 and higher, the situation is similar. To prevent the non-defined state mentioned above, parent items and child items will only be sent via the JTL-Connector to shop systems that support parent-child relationships. This applies to the old and the new Modified-Connector as well as to the old XTC- and OSC-Connectors.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"d-flex align-items-center\" id=\"database-administration\">Database administration <span id='anchor-database-administration' data-href='#database-administration' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h3>\t<p>When you start JTL-Wawi, the first thing you will see is the new database administration of JTL-Wawi. It is imperative that you create a&nbsp;<b>Profile&nbsp;<\/b>here. A standard profile is created during the update. The following procedure applies to new installations: Enter the connection parameters for the database. After you have set the connection parameters, you can start JTL-Wawi 1.0 for the first time. The update process starts immediately and you will be asked to perform a backup of your previous database. Once the backup is completed, the update starts automatically. Depending on the size of your database, the update may take a few hours.<\/p>\n\t<p>For more information about the update go here:&nbsp;<a class=\"JTL-Wawi-color\" title=\"Starting JTL-Wawi for the first time\" href=\"https:\/\/guide.jtl-software.com\/en\/jtl-wawi\/database\/starting-jtl-wawi-for-the-first-time\/\">First start of programme<\/a><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"d-flex align-items-center\" id=\"print-templates-for-dunning-letters\">Print templates for dunning letters <span id='anchor-print-templates-for-dunning-letters' data-href='#print-templates-for-dunning-letters' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h3>\t<p>The old print templates for dunning letters (including your own custom templates) in the dunning system will be replaced by new standard templates. If you want to continue using your own templates, please save them before the update and import them again afterwards.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"d-flex align-items-center\" id=\"stocks-for-ebay-auctions\">Stocks for eBay auctions <span id='anchor-stocks-for-ebay-auctions' data-href='#stocks-for-ebay-auctions' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h3>\t<p>Starting with JTL-Wawi 1.0, stocks can be reserved for auctions. This feature was not included in JTL-Wawi 0.99923 and is integrated during the update. Consequently, your available stocks can be reduced to 0 or below, leading to an undesired termination of listings. Before the update, please check whether there is enough stock available to prevent auctions from being terminated.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"d-flex align-items-center\" id=\"adjustments-after-the-update\">Adjustments after the update <span id='anchor-adjustments-after-the-update' data-href='#adjustments-after-the-update' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h2>\t<p>After successfully installing the new version, you will also have to consider the following changes:<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"d-flex align-items-center\" id=\"base-prices\">Base prices <span id='anchor-base-prices' data-href='#base-prices' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h3>\t<p>After the JTL-Wawi update, you have to adjust your&nbsp;<b>Base price units<\/b>&nbsp;, as they work differently now. In the past, you had to enter a conversion factor for your base prices. Now you can choose between various given units. You can also create new units.<\/p>\n\t<p><b>Example:<\/b>&nbsp;JTL-Wawi comes with a wide variety of standard measurement units such as grams, litres, meters, etc. If you use units such as piece, tablet, capsule etc., these must be created and assigned during the update.<\/p>\n\t<p>You can find a comprehensive description of the new processes regarding the management of base prices in JTL-Wawi on the help pages for the item master data:<\/p>\n\t<p><a class=\"JTL-Wawi-color\" title=\"Item details:General info\" href=\"https:\/\/guide.jtl-software.com\/en\/items\/item-master-data-general\/\">Item master data\/Section: Base prices<\/a>&nbsp;|&nbsp;<a class=\"JTL-Wawi-color\" title=\"Creating sales units in JTL-Wawi\" href=\"https:\/\/guide.jtl-software.com\/en\/items\/creating-sales-units\/\">Units<\/a><\/p>\n<h3 class=\"d-flex align-items-center\" id=\"duplicate-skus\">Duplicate SKUs <span id='anchor-duplicate-skus' data-href='#duplicate-skus' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h3>\t<p>JTL-Wawi no longer supports&nbsp;<b>duplicate SKUs<\/b>&nbsp;. During the update, all duplicate SKUs will receive suffixes: ##1, ##2, ##3, etc. While the update is being performed, you will see a list of the respective SKU changes performed during the update by JTL-Wawi. You can later search JTL-Wawi for ## to find all items with automatically changed SKUs.<\/p>\n\t<p>Attention: inactive items must also be considered.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"d-flex align-items-center\" id=\"shipping-service-providers-are-integrated-into-shipping-methods\">Shipping service providers are integrated into shipping methods <span id='anchor-shipping-service-providers-are-integrated-into-shipping-methods' data-href='#shipping-service-providers-are-integrated-into-shipping-methods' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h3>\t<p>As part of the restructuring of the shipping process, we integrated the administration of shipping service providers into the&nbsp;<b>Shipping methods<\/b>&nbsp;. All important settings for shipping data exports and tracking will now be maintained in the shipping methods. The paths are now maintained separately for each shipping method and cannot be transferred automatically.\t\t\t<\/span>\n\t\n\t<\/div>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"d-flex align-items-center\" id=\"shipping-data-export-and-import-templates\">Shipping data export and import templates <span id='anchor-shipping-data-export-and-import-templates' data-href='#shipping-data-export-and-import-templates' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h3>\t<p>From this version onward,&nbsp;<b>shipping data import<\/b>&nbsp;will only be possible via the internal package ID(s). You can then import the matching tracking ID for each package. How does that affect you? This is the only way to achieve maximum compatibility with all software interfaces. You can simply insert a line break manually with the Return\/Enter key like you would in any word processing programme.<\/p>\n\t<p>Some of the previously used variables such as&nbsp;<b>Pakete.Count<\/b>&nbsp;must be replaced by variables such as&nbsp;<b>Vorgang.Lieferschein.Pakete.Anzahl<\/b>&nbsp;. Simply create a ticket in the JTL-Customer\u00a0Centre.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"d-flex align-items-center\" id=\"procurement-time-delivery-time\">Procurement time\/Delivery time <span id='anchor-procurement-time-delivery-time' data-href='#procurement-time-delivery-time' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h3>\t<p>After the update, the\u00a0<b>Beschaffungszeit<\/b> (Procurement time) has been changed to \u201cmanuell setzen\u201d (set manually) in the dialogue box <span class=\"highlight\">Artikelstammdaten &gt; Registerkarte: Allgemein &gt; Registerkarte: Lageroptionen<\/span> (Item master data &gt; Tab: General &gt; Tab: Warehouse options). If you want to change this default setting for multiple items at once, you can use <b>JTL-DataTransfer<\/b>\u00a0. The rights management is based on group rights. First, groups with certain rights must be created. Then every user is assigned to a specific group. All previously granted user rights will be lost after the update to JTL-Wawi 1.0.<\/p>\n\t<p>For further information, please see:&nbsp;<a class=\"JTL-Wawi-color\" title=\"Category:JTL-Wawi:Admin:Global\" href=\"https:\/\/guide.jtl-software.com\/jtl-wawi\/global\/\">Settings menu\/Entry: User and rights management<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"d-flex align-items-center\" id=\"attributes\">Attributes <span id='anchor-attributes' data-href='#attributes' class='far fa-link' data-anchor><\/span><\/h3>\t<p>The management of&nbsp;<b>Attributes<\/b>&nbsp;was changed in JTL-Wawi 1.0. Attributes only need to be created once and can then be assigned to an item in the item master data. During the update, all previously created attributes are imported and created only once. If different data types were used in the attributes, for example &#8220;numbers&#8221; and &#8220;text&#8221;, then the larger data type is used.
