Note: On 1 September 2024, JTL introduced new editions that bundle most of the previous individual services into different packages. In order for you to continue working as smoothly as possible, existing customers were automatically switched to the package configuration that best matched their existing contract. The individual packages differ in terms of limitations and/or range of functions. Therefore, some of the features described in the JTL-Guide may not be available to you as part of your booked JTL edition. You can change your package configuration in your JTL customer account. Find out more about the new editions and packages here. Check our FAQ for frequently asked questions about the product editions.
Creating and editing pick list templates in JTL-WMS
Your task/initial situation
You have an online business for sporting goods and are also selling many of your items via Amazon. To post smaller items, you are using a picking trolley in your warehouse with which you cannot ship large items, such as sporting equipment. To be able to ship your Amazon orders quickly, you want to create a pick list template that only contains sales orders that have been generated via Amazon and contain only 1-3 smaller items that you can transport with the picking trolley.
Creating pick list templates
- Go to Settings > Pick list templates to open the Managing pick list templates dialogue box.
- Click New template. The dialogue box opens, in which you can make all settings for your pick list template.
- Please give the pick list a unique and preferably short name. This name is displayed in JTL-WMS in many places and each employee should be able to identify the intended purpose of the pick list, e.g. Amazon small.
- Make the respective settings. For information on the individual settings, please see: Dialogue box: Editing pick list templates
- Once all settings are made, click Save.
- Double-click on the Quick slot field in your new template and assign a number. Alternatively, select your new template and click Set/delete quick slot.
Please note: Quick access keys (Quick slot) provide a simple and clear way to create and manage pick lists. If you have assigned a quick access key to a pick list template, you can create pick lists directly from the pick list overview (Goods issue > Pick lists). You can create up to 9999 quick access keys for your templates.
- Double-click on the Colour field in your new template and assign a colour in the new dialogue box. Alternatively, select your new template and click on a colour in the colour selection in the bottom right corner. This allows you to recognise the template more easily.
In the pick list overview, you can now create pick lists using this template.
