Note: On 1 September 2024, JTL introduced new editions that bundle most of the previous individual services into different packages. In order for you to continue working as smoothly as possible, existing customers were automatically switched to the package configuration that best matched their existing contract. The individual packages differ in terms of limitations and/or range of functions. Therefore, some of the features described in the JTL-Guide may not be available to you as part of your booked JTL edition. You can change your package configuration in your JTL customer account. Find out more about the new editions and packages here. Check our FAQ for frequently asked questions about the product editions.
Performing inventories as a fulfilment service provider
Your task/initial situation
You are a fulfilment service provider and have already stored goods sent by your fulfilment customer. Both you and your customer have set up the JTL-Fulfillment Network. Your fulfilment customer has already transferred the data of the items stored in your warehouse to you. This means that all your customer’s items were created correctly in JTL-Wawi. By carrying out an inventory in your warehouse, you can now record the actual stock levels and post them to these items.
Inventory with JTL-WMS
You can perform the inventory in JTL-WMS or JTL-WMS Mobile. If you have reserved certain storage sections for your customer, it is advisable to restrict the inventory to these sections only.
- In JTL-WMS, go to the menu item Internal > Inventory. The dialogue End-of-period inventory opens.
- Select New inventory. The dialogue box Create new inventory opens.
- Use the arrow button to add all storage locations to the inventory that contain goods from your fulfilment customer. Then select Add inventory.
- Carry out the inventory according to the standard processes of JTL-WMS. Read more here: Inventory in JTL-WMS.
- Once the inventory has been completed, perform a fulfilment synchronisation. The updated stocks are now transmitted.
