Note: On 1 September 2024, JTL introduced new editions that bundle most of the previous individual services into different packages. In order for you to continue working as smoothly as possible, existing customers were automatically switched to the package configuration that best matched their existing contract. The individual packages differ in terms of limitations and/or range of functions. Therefore, some of the features described in the JTL-Guide may not be available to you as part of your booked JTL edition. You can change your package configuration in your JTL customer account. Activating the price history in JTL-Shop

Your task/initial situation

You have an online shop by JTL and would like to enable your customers to see how the prices for items have changed until now.

Price history

The optional price history of an item can be displayed as a graph on the item detail page. JTL-Shop registers changed prices and adjusts the price history automatically.
The price history allows customers to follow the development of a price within a certain time period. Such tendencies can sometimes ellicit a purchase.

Configuration, maintenance and settings

In the admin back end of JTL-Shop, go to View > Standard elements > Price history.
Activate the option Show price history and click Save.

Once the option is enbled, a new tab with the price history appears on the item detail pages of your online shop.

Include last X months: Specify how many months are to be taken into account for the price history.

The price history can be found as a graph in a separate tab of the item details.

Price history in other currencies

To display the price history in a different currency, customers need to pick a different currency than Euro (default) in the header area of the online shop.
