Note: On 1 September 2024, JTL introduced new editions that bundle most of the previous individual services into different packages. In order for you to continue working as smoothly as possible, existing customers were automatically switched to the package configuration that best matched their existing contract. The individual packages differ in terms of limitations and/or range of functions. Therefore, some of the features described in the JTL-Guide may not be available to you as part of your booked JTL edition. You can change your package configuration in your JTL customer account. Find out more about the new editions and packages here. Check our FAQ for frequently asked questions about the product editions.
Google Shopping: Mapping characteristics
In this tab, you can link characteristics with the characteristics available for Google Shopping (Google calls them “attributes”). Google Shopping has the characteristics Color, Size, Gender, Age group, Pattern and Material.
Example: If you sell clothing, it is possible to transfer the characteristics you created in JTL-Wawi to Google Shopping. It does not matter what the characteristics are called in JTL-Wawi. Simply map your characteristics to the ones that exist on Google.
Linking characteristics
- Under Type, select whether you want to link a characteristic or a characteristic value to the official Google Shopping designations.
- Under From, enter the name of the characteristic or characteristic value in your online shop.
- Under To, enter the name to which you would like to link your characteristic or characteristic value feature in Google Shopping.
Attention: Important technical note! Only characteristics or characteristic values that are unknown to Google must be mapped. A detailed list of all possible characteristics can be found on the Google help pages under Product specification.
