Note: On 1 September 2024, JTL introduced new editions that bundle most of the previous individual services into different packages. In order for you to continue working as smoothly as possible, existing customers were automatically switched to the package configuration that best matched their existing contract. The individual packages differ in terms of limitations and/or range of functions. Therefore, some of the features described in the JTL-Guide may not be available to you as part of your booked JTL edition. You can change your package configuration in your JTL customer account. Find out more about the new editions and packages here. Check our FAQ for frequently asked questions about the product editions.
Information on personal data
Your task/initial situation
Since the introduction of the GDPR, your customers have a right to receive information on all personal data stored by you in JTL-Wawi. On this page we explain how to proceed with a request from your customers in order to provide this information.
Requirements
Step 1: Adjusting the print template
If JTL-Wawi 1.3.17.1 or later is the first version of JTL-Wawi that you have installed, you can skip this step. Otherwise, you must perform this step once.
- In JTL-Wawi, open the Managing print, email, and export templates dialogue box via Admin > Print/Email/Export templates.
- In the Template sets area, select the template set Customer master data > Customer master data. You will now see all templates that currently exist.
In order to use the new template for information about personal data, you must first delete or deactivate your old template. Let us assume that you want to delete it.
- Select the existing templates and click Delete.
- Click Add > Default. The new template containing all personal data will be added.
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 in the Save tab.
- Close the Managing print, email, and export templates dialogue box by clicking OK.
Step 2: Disclosing information
After you have adjusted the print template, you can provide your customer with the requested information.
- Click on the Customers icon to go to the customer overview in JTL-Wawi.
- Use the filter options to find the customer for whom you want to provide the information.
- Right-click on the customer and select the item Output > Customer master data in the context menu. The Advanced output settings dialogue box opens.
- Select whether you want to Print or Save the information by activating the corresponding check boxes. You can see a preview of the document by clicking Preview.
- Click OK to start the output.
You can then make the issued document available to your customer.
