Note: On 1 September 2024, JTL introduced new editions that bundle most of the previous individual services into different packages. In order for you to continue working as smoothly as possible, existing customers were automatically switched to the package configuration that best matched their existing contract. The individual packages differ in terms of limitations and/or range of functions. Therefore, some of the features described in the JTL-Guide may not be available to you as part of your booked JTL edition. You can change your package configuration in your JTL customer account. Find out more about the new editions and packages here. Check our FAQ for frequently asked questions about the product editions.
Settling transactions
Your task/initial situation
You use a card terminal from a payment provider that is connected to JTL-POS via the OPI interface. You have accepted card payments throughout the day and would now like to trigger the actual posting of the transactions with a settlement.
Please note: Some payment providers charge the customer’s card directly. In this case, you do not need to carry out a separate transaction settlement. Consult with your payment provider to know whether or not you need to do transaction settlements for their terminals. SumUp and Zettle by PayPal do not require settlements.
Prerequisites
Settling transactions
- In the upper right-hand corner of JTL-POS, tap on the three-dot menu and select Transaction settlement. The Transaction settlement dialogue box will open.
- You will see a list of all terminals for which the transaction settlement is to be carried out. Tap Settle transactions to trigger the settlement. The transaction settlement will now be carried out.
