    Settling transactions

    Your task/initial situation

You use a card terminal from a payment provider that is connected to JTL-POS via the OPI interface. You have accepted card payments throughout the day and would now like to trigger the actual posting of the transactions with a settlement.
Please note: Some payment providers charge the customer’s card directly. In this case, you do not need to carry out a separate transaction settlement. Consult with your payment provider to know whether or not you need to do transaction settlements for their terminals. SumUp and Zettle by PayPal do not require settlements.

    Prerequisites

    • Your payment provider is connected to JTL-POS via the OPI interface either as an integrated or an external provider.
    • Under Settings > Payment methods, the option Transaction settlement required is activated for the payment method.

    Settling transactions

    1. In the upper right-hand corner of JTL-POS, tap on the three-dot menu and select Transaction settlement. The Transaction settlement dialogue box will open.
    1. You will see a list of all terminals for which the transaction settlement is to be carried out. Tap Settle transactions to trigger the settlement. The transaction settlement will now be carried out.
