Note: On 1 September 2024, JTL introduced new editions that bundle most of the previous individual services into different packages. In order for you to continue working as smoothly as possible, existing customers were automatically switched to the package configuration that best matched their existing contract. The individual packages differ in terms of limitations and/or range of functions. Therefore, some of the features described in the JTL-Guide may not be available to you as part of your booked JTL edition. You can change your package configuration in your JTL customer account. Find out more about the new editions and packages here. Check our FAQ for frequently asked questions about the product editions.
Sending requests as a merchant
Your task/initial situation
You are an online retailer and have found a suitable fulfilment warehouse in the Fulfillment Portal. Now you would like to contact the fulfilment service provider in order to obtain more details and clarify any open questions. You can then negotiate a service contract with the fulfilment service provider.
Sending requests
- In the fulfilment service provider’s warehouse advert, click on Send a request. This will take you to the request form.
- Complete the form. Then click Submit request to send the form.
- The fulfilment service provider receives an email with the contact data that you have stored in the Fulfillment Portal. They will check your request and then contact you to clarify further questions.
- You can see your sent request with its processing status under My network > My requests.
Negotiating a contract
- Wait until the fulfilment service provider contacts you. Then you can enter into negotiations and conclude a service contract.
Contract details JTL is a software provider and supports you and the fulfilment service provider in storing and shipping goods from a technical standpoint. JTL also enables you to make initial contact with the service provider via the Fulfillment Portal. However, JTL has no control over the contract that you and the fulfilment service provider negotiate. The shipping conditions, storage fees and other details are entirely the responsibility of the fulfilment service provider.
- After successful conclusion of the contract between you and the fulfilment service provider, the service provider will confirm your request in the Fulfillment Portal. Now also confirm the cooperation. To do this, go to My network > My requests and select the request confirmed by the service provider by clicking Details.
- Click Initiate cooperation. The cooperation is now active. The fulfilment service provider will assign their warehouse to you. Once the service provider assigns the warehouse to you, you can find it under My network > My warehouses.
Fulfilment synchronisation now active The fulfilment relationship between you and the service provider is now also established from a technical point of view. From now on, data is exchanged between the JTL-Fulfillment Network and JTL-Wawi with every fulfilment synchronisation. That way you will quickly be informed of changes at the service provider’s end.
- Switch to JTL-Wawi and perform a fulfilment synchronisation. The warehouse of your fulfilment service provider is automatically created in JTL-Wawi and can be configured in the next step.
Please note: If the warehouse is not displayed in JTL-Wawi, please contact your fulfilment service provider and ask them if they have already assigned the warehouse to you.
