Getting started with JTL-Wawi

Once you have downloaded and installed JTL-Wawi, it makes sense to get to know the ERP system first. This documentation contains activities that we recommend to become acquainted with your new system.

Items/Product range

  1. Familiarise yourself with the JTL-Wawi item management. First create a category and an item. Later you can decide whether you want to manually create an item or, as an alternative, use JTL-DataTransfer to import an item list from your old system or your supplier.

Procurement/Suppliers

  1. Create a supplier for the item and have a look at the purchase list and the purchase orders.

Customers

  1. Create a customer and get to know the customer administration. Later, customers will probably be created automatically when an order is made via an online shop or marketplace. You can also import an existing customer list with JTL-DataTransfer.

Sales/Sales orders

  1. Familiarise yourself with sales quotations and sales orders in JTL-Wawi and create a manual order for a customer, in which you sell the item you have created earlier to this customer.

Payments

  1. Create a payment for this sales order.

Shipments/Tracking

  1. Get to know the shipping options in JTL-Wawi and ship the sales order from your default warehouse.

Returns

  1. Create a return for the sales order and post the item to your warehouse again.
