    Confirm shipment to customer

    Your task/initial situation

    Your fulfilment service provider confirms that they have shipped a sales order. You would now like to inform your customer that the goods are on their way.

    The customer is usually notified automatically via your standard processes, provided that:

    • the shipping method contains the information that a shipping notification is to be sent by email. JTL-Wawi sends the notification as soon as the package is marked as “Shipped”.
    • you have set up a JTL-Workflow that informs customers about the shipment.
    • your customer has placed an order via an online shop (e.g. via JTL-Shop) or a marketplace. Usually, they will also be informed via this channel when the order has been shipped. This normally happens after the next online shop synchronisation or synchronisation of JTL-eazyAuction with JTL-Wawi.

    Notes on tracking

    You must assign your JTL-Wawi shipping methods to the FFN shipping methods of your fulfilment service provider. For more information, please go to Setting up shipping methods. You don’t have to worry if your fulfilment service provider spontaneously changes their shipping service provider during delivery. The JTL-Fulfillment Network automatically transmits the correct tracking data and assigns it to the correct shipping methods.

    All you need to do is to correctly enter the shipping service provider in the shipping methods that you use for shipping fulfilment sales orders. These shipping methods should have already been correctly matched to the FFN shipping methods. The relevant data are the eBay and Amazon Carrier Codes and the information under Tracking.
