    Checking requirements

    Your task/initial situation

On this page we summarise the requirements to store and sell items via the JTL-Fulfillment Network. Please check the requirements before shipping items via the JTL-Fulfillment Network.

    Item types

What types of items can be transferred?

    • Inventory management: Inventory management must be active. The quantity of items in stock in the Fulfilment service provider’s warehouse must always be known.
    • Variations: Items with variations cannot be stored via the JTL-Fulfillment Network. Please convert any existing variation items into proper child items.
    • Child items: It is only possible to transfer child items; their respective parent items cannot be transferred. This is because the stock level of parent items cannot be tracked.
    • Serial numbers: You can transmit items with serial numbers. The basic serial number tracking is functional.
    • SLED/Batches: JTL-Wawi does not manage multiple SLEDs for the same items separately. This means that the SLED management must be carried out by the fulfilment service provider. They will usually record the SLED or batch when performing the goods receipt for the respective items. Ordering information and order attributes can, however, be included.
    • Bills of materials: Dealers can transfer bills of materials (BOMs) to other warehouses, but what is actually transmitted are their individual components. However, BOMs are created and automatically linked when the first order is placed. Please note: BOMs are not updated automatically! To update BOMs, right-click on a BOM in the item management and select the option JTL-FFN > Artikel einstellen/aktualisieren (JTL-FFN > Add/Update item). Changes must be implemented manually. Sales orders containing BOMs are always processed correctly.
    • Configurator: Configuration groups cannot be transferred. Their individual components are handled like normal items.

    Fields in item master data

    Which fields are transferred?

    • Standardised numbers: GTIN, MPN, ISBN, UPC, UN, TARIC, hazard number
    • Numbers related to JTL-Fulfillment Network: JFSKU
    • Numbers related to marketplaces: ASIN, FNSKU
    • Misc.: Country of origin
    • Categorisation: All categories to which the item has been assigned and, if applicable, its product group, are transferred.
    • Dimensions/Weight: All data is transferred
    • Images: Thumbnail and/or JTL-PackingBench/JTL-WMS
    • Sales prices

    Stock transfer

    • Custom line items: Since items in the JTL-Fulfillment Network must work with inventory management, custom line items cannot be transferred to a warehouse or be shipped in orders.
