Cancelling the partnership as a merchant

    Your task/initial situation

Sometimes business relationships are not meant for eternity. Since you have a contract with the fulfilment service provider, you must cancel it if you want to end the cooperation.

General approach to terminating fulfilment contracts

There can be many reasons why you might want to cancel the contract with the fulfilment service provider. Therefore, we can only outline the general procedure. You should always discuss the details with the fulfilment service provider.

    1. Terminate the contract with due notice or—depending on the reason—without notice.
    2. Decide what should happen to the goods stored at your fulfilment service provider.
    • Closing down: For example, sell the goods in one go on one of the various Internet portals. Alternatively, talk to your fulfilment service provider about whether they have a customer who would like to take over the goods. Once you have sold the goods, create a sales order in JTL-Wawi that is then shipped from the fulfilment warehouse to the buyer. The rest is done by your fulfilment service provider.
    • Changing warehouses: If you want to store the items at a different warehouse, e.g. at your own premises or that of another fulfilment service provider, simply carry out a stock transfer. See Transferring goods from fulfilment service provider to merchant’s warehouse.
Please note: The fulfilment service provider can only withdraw the warehouse assignment once all items, sales orders and inbound deliveries have been fully processed. This means that there must be no more open sales orders and deliveries and the stock of all items must be zero.
    1. As soon as the fulfilment service provider has cancelled the warehouse assignment, the warehouse will be automatically deleted from your JTL-Wawi after the next synchronisation.
