Note: On 1 September 2024, JTL introduced new editions that bundle most of the previous individual services into different packages. In order for you to continue working as smoothly as possible, existing customers were automatically switched to the package configuration that best matched their existing contract. The individual packages differ in terms of limitations and/or range of functions. Therefore, some of the features described in the JTL-Guide may not be available to you as part of your booked JTL edition. You can change your package configuration in your JTL customer account. Find out more about the new editions and packages here. Check our FAQ for frequently asked questions about the product editions.
Carrying out a cash check
Your task/initial situation
You would like to check whether the current cash balance in the cash drawer matches the cash balance in JTL-POS. To do this, you carry out a cash check.
Carrying out a cash check
- If you are not there yet, switch to the main view of JTL-POS.
- Tap on the three-dots menu in the upper right corner. A menu with various options opens up.
- Tap on Cash check. The cash check dialogue opens.
- Tap on the 1 cent field and use the numeric keypad to enter how many 1-cent coins are in the cash drawer. Then tap on the arrow key ->| to switch to the 2 cents field.
- Enter how many 2-cent coins are in the cash drawer and repeat the entry for all other coin and note types.
Target cash register balance: Here you can see how much cash should currently be in the cash drawer according to JTL-POS.
Actual cash register balance: Here you can view the total of all entered cash amounts entered by you.
Difference: Here you can see whether the cash balance you counted differs from the cash in JTL-POS. A minus before the number means that there is less money in the cash drawer (shortfall).
- Tap on Finish cash check. The newly entered cash amount is saved in JTL-POS.
