    Activating new customers in JTL-Shop

    Your task/initial situation

    A new customer who does not exist in JTL-Wawi yet has made a purchase in your online shop.

    Activating new customers

    1. In JTL-Wawi, open the Platforms area and scroll down to Online shop > New customers. The new customer overview opens.

    Adding new customers

    This list shows all new customers who have registered for your online shop and have not ordered anything yet. For more information on this topic, please go to the Customer management documentation.

    1. Select the customer you want to add to JTL-Wawi. You can select multiple customers with the Shift key pressed and all customers are selected by pressing Ctrl + A.
    2. Then click Activate.

    JTL-Wawi checks whether the customers already exist by comparing the data records (e.g. last names, streets, postal codes). If any matches are found, a dialogue opens in which you can review the entries and decide which fields should be used for the consolidated data sets.

    If you select Match automatically, the dialogue will no longer be displayed and the data sets are combined automatically.

    If you select the third option, data sets are only compared on the basis of their email address and the dialogue does not open. If the email addresses do not exist yet, new customers are created.
