Note: On 1 September 2024, JTL introduced new editions that bundle most of the previous individual services into different packages. In order for you to continue working as smoothly as possible, existing customers were automatically switched to the package configuration that best matched their existing contract. The individual packages differ in terms of limitations and/or range of functions. Therefore, some of the features described in the JTL-Guide may not be available to you as part of your booked JTL edition. You can change your package configuration in your JTL customer account. Find out more about the new editions and packages here. Check our FAQ for frequently asked questions about the product editions.
Restoring a database backup
Your task/initial situation
You have performed a manual or automatic backup of a JTL-Wawi database and want to restore it.
Important note for JTL-eazyAuction customers who use a version older than JTL-Wawi 1.5: Do not perform an eBay synchronisation after restoring a backup. Please contact our JTL support instead. Our team will be happy to help you import all orders into your database. As of JTL-Wawi 1.5, you do not need to pay attention to anything else when importing backups.
Restoring a database backup
- Open the database administration of JTL-Wawi via Start > Datenbank (Start > Database).
- Log in with your SQL server user data.
- Select the tenant for which you wish to restore the backup. In the section Mandanten bearbeiten (Edit tenants), click on DB-Import.
Here you can select and import the desired database. Click Durchsuchen (Browse) and in the dialogue box Sicherungsdatei suchen (Find backup file), select the respective database backup file (.bak). Then click Importieren (Import).
The database will now be restored.
Please note that restoring a database backup can lead to data loss.
