Goods issue with the Mobile Packing Bench

With the Mobile PackingBench, the picking and packing process takes place directly at the storage location. Originally, the process was intended for large single orders and pallet goods. But even smaller items that are stored close to each other and seasonal goods can be optimally picked and packed at a fixed packing station with the process.

Fields of application

The Mobile PackingBench shipping process can be easily combined with other shipping processes and is particularly suitable for the following scenarios, for which corresponding pick lists can be created:

• You ship large and heavy items that are usually individual sales orders.
• You ship orders with single-variety pallet goods. It does not matter how often the item is part of an order.
• You ship very small or light items from a very small warehouse or a limited storage section.
• You ship fast-moving seasonal items.
• Even unlabelled items can be quickly and easily picked and packed.

Required hardware and equipment

To be able to retrieve goods via the Mobile PackingBench shipping process, you need the following hardware:

• A Windows computer or Windows tablet
• A printer for printing shipping label and documents
• A scanner

Depending on your application, the hardware mentioned above should be fastened to one of the devices used for picking, e.g. a forklift truck, a logistics provider’s pallet truck or a picking trolley. As an alternative, the hardware can also be installed at a packing bench or on a portable fixture, which can be temporarily attached to the devices used for picking.

For smaller items and sales orders with several line items that still have to be packed, you can store packing material such as shipping bags and boxes directly on the picking device or packing bench.
