Note: On 1 September 2024, JTL introduced new editions that bundle most of the previous individual services into different packages. In order for you to continue working as smoothly as possible, existing customers were automatically switched to the package configuration that best matched their existing contract. The individual packages differ in terms of limitations and/or range of functions. Therefore, some of the features described in the JTL-Guide may not be available to you as part of your booked JTL edition. You can change your package configuration in your JTL customer account. Restoring database backups

Your task/initial situation

You want to restore a backup of a JTL-POS database.

Requirements/Restrictions

You have created a database backup. For more information on this topic, click here: Backing up the database.
If you have stored your database backup on an SD card, insert it into your device.

Restoring database backups

Open the main menu and go to Data backup. The Database dialogue box opens.

Switch to the Restore tab.
Select the Storage location from which the data backup is to be obtained. The following options are available to you: Download folder or SD/microSD card.
Tap on the Select file button. The Select file dialogue box will open.

Tap the file containing the backup and tap OK.

Tap on Restore database backup.

The data backup is restored, and JTL-POS is restarted. You can then start working with the saved version.
