Note: On 1 September 2024, JTL introduced new editions that bundle most of the previous individual services into different packages. In order for you to continue working as smoothly as possible, existing customers were automatically switched to the package configuration that best matched their existing contract. The individual packages differ in terms of limitations and/or range of functions. Therefore, some of the features described in the JTL-Guide may not be available to you as part of your booked JTL edition. You can change your package configuration in your JTL customer account. Find out more about the new editions and packages here. Check our FAQ for frequently asked questions about the product editions.
Adjusting the sitemap structure
Your task/initial situation
You need a sitemap, for example, to upload it to search engines and thus improve your searchability. As a first step, you want to determine what information should be displayed in the sitemap.
Adjusting the sitemap structure
- In the back end of JTL-Shop, open the Sitemap structure page via Administration> SEO > Sitemap.
- Set what should be displayed in an automatically generated sitemap. For example, set all custom pages, categories, the blog, and item images to Yes.
- Under Submit sitemap to Google and Bing after export, specify whether a message should be sent to Google and Bing after exporting the sitemap xml and sitemap_index_xml files so that they can re-read the sitemap.
- For all other elements on the page, select whether they should appear/be inserted in the sitemap. Go to detailed description of all settings.
- Click Save to save the settings.
