Note: On 1 September 2024, JTL introduced new editions that bundle most of the previous individual services into different packages. In order for you to continue working as smoothly as possible, existing customers were automatically switched to the package configuration that best matched their existing contract. The individual packages differ in terms of limitations and/or range of functions. Therefore, some of the features described in the JTL-Guide may not be available to you as part of your booked JTL edition. You can change your package configuration in your JTL customer account. Find out more about the new editions and packages here. Check our FAQ for frequently asked questions about the product editions.
Setting up user groups in JTL-Wawi
Your task/initial situation
You have set up several users in JTL-Wawi and would now like to grant certain rights to individual groups of users. To do this, first create new user groups.
Creating user groups
- Via the menu item Admin > Users / Rights you can reach the Creating/Editing users, rights and special permissions dialogue box.
- Go to the User groups tab. Here, you will find a list of all user groups created so far for all companies and tenants. Let’s say, we would like to set up an Item editor group. To do this, click Create. The Creating/Editing user groups dialogue box will open.
- Assign a name that describes the persons’ task. Certain roles may help with this, like “item editors”, “marketplace administrators”, or “accounting consultants”. A description helps to directly assess the scope of tasks represented when assigning the roles.
- Then, assign the users to their respective roles (Assign user groups). To do this, you do not need to open the Creating/Editing a user dialogue box again.
