Thank you for using the English version of the JTL-Guide!
We are currently still building up the English documentation; not all sections have been translated yet. Please note that there may still be German screenshots or links to German pages even on pages that have already been translated. This guide mostly addresses English speaking users in Germany.

Note: On 1 September 2024, JTL introduced new editions that bundle most of the previous individual services into different packages. In order for you to continue working as smoothly as possible, existing customers were automatically switched to the package configuration that best matched their existing contract. The individual packages differ in terms of limitations and/or range of functions. Therefore, some of the features described in the JTL-Guide may not be available to you as part of your booked JTL edition. You can change your package configuration in your JTL customer account. Find out more about the new editions and packages here. Check our FAQ for frequently asked questions about the product editions.
Creating a new password for the online shop
Your task/initial situation
You have connected a JTL-Shop to JTL-Wawi. A customer contacts you and informs you that they have forgotten their password and can no longer remember the email address they used to log in to the online shop. They therefore want you to send them a new password to the saved email address so that they can log in to their customer account.
Creating a new password
- Click on the Customers icon to go to the customer management in JTL-Wawi.
- Find the desired customer in the overview or via the search and filter options. Go to customer management: Search and filter options.
- Double-click on the customer. The customer master data opens.
- Switch to the Online shop tab and select the online shop for which the password is to be reset.
- Click Generate new password.
The customer will now receive an email to the email address saved in the online shop, which contains a link via which the customer can reset the password.
Please note: You can specify the content of the email template in the JTL-Shop admin interface. You can find the template under Administration > Email > Templates > Forgot password.
