We are currently still building up the English documentation; not all sections have been translated yet. Please note that there may still be German screenshots or links to German pages even on pages that have already been translated. This guide mostly addresses English speaking users in Germany.
Stock transfers via intermediate storage
General information
Regardless of the warehouse type, you can transfer your items between different warehouses. During the transfer, the goods are posted to intermediate storage. You can view this stock at any time. The available stock in JTL-Wawi remains unchanged at all times. Unlike with direct transfer postings of items between two warehouses, you always have an overview of where your items that are being transferred are and what status they have. Shortages in the destination warehouse due to items that have not yet been received are therefore a thing of the past.
The stock transfer process consists of 3 steps:
Training your warehouse employees is not necessary, as the goods receipt and the goods issue do not differ from your standard processes defined for the respective warehouse.
Possible applications
The stock transfer process via JTL-Wawi should always be used when you want to transfer your goods between two warehouses. The stock transfer process is completely independent of the warehouse type. For example, your employees can independently order goods from a warehouse while being in your in-store location. In addition to items with inventory management, you can also transfer items that do not belong to your stock and that you add to your stock transfer via custom line items. This way, you retain full control at all times.
You can use the stock transfer process to initiate the following stock transfers:

Setup
If you are already working with JTL-Wawi or JTL-WMS and you have already set up your warehouses, no further preparations are necessary. The intermediate storage is automatically generated by JTL-Wawi as soon as you create a stock transfer with a source and a destination warehouse. All intermediate storage appears in your warehouse list, which you can find in JTL-Wawi in the Create and edit warehouses dialogue box, which you can call up via the menu item Warehouses > Create: Warehouse. Go to the documentation for Create and edit warehouses.
