Setting up fulfilment warehouses
Your task/initial situation
What is a fulfilment warehouse?
In principle, a fulfilment warehouse is similar to a default warehouse. The main difference is that you can use the functionalities specifically intended for Fulfilment when it comes to shipping. The exchange with the fulfilment service provider typically takes place via stock transfers and shipping data export and import.
Setting up fulfilment warehouses
- Via the menu Warehouses > Create: Warehouse, open the Creating and editing warehouses dialogue box. Here you can see a list of all warehouses managed in JTL-Wawi.
- Click Create. A new warehouse is added to the list, which you can then configure on the right-hand side.
- Give the warehouse a unique name and a unique code.
- Under Warehouse type, select Fulfilment.
- Enter the complete address data of the warehouse.
- Under Shipments: delivery note, specify which template set is to be used for this fulfilment service provider. Read more on the Templates area. Also specify whether the delivery note is to be printed, faxed, or sent by email.
- In addition, select how the fulfilment order is to be sent to the fulfilment service provider (Shipments: fulfilment order). You also have the option of storing your own template.
- Click Save. The warehouse is then created.
