Note: On 1 September 2024, JTL introduced new editions that bundle most of the previous individual services into different packages. In order for you to continue working as smoothly as possible, existing customers were automatically switched to the package configuration that best matched their existing contract. The individual packages differ in terms of limitations and/or range of functions. Therefore, some of the features described in the JTL-Guide may not be available to you as part of your booked JTL edition. You can change your package configuration in your JTL customer account. Find out more about the new editions and packages here. Check our FAQ for frequently asked questions about the product editions.
Transferring item attributes to the fulfilment service provider
Your task/initial situation
You are an online merchant and would like to transfer your custom fields to the fulfilment service provider. The merchant and the fulfilment service provider can flexibly decide which attributes and custom fields are to be transferred.
Requirements
Assigning item attributes as an online merchant
Note: In JTL-Wawi, you can assign attributes and custom fields to your items. Both are sent to the fulfilment service provider as custom fields. Therefore, you do not need to create attributes again as custom fields in order to transfer them.
T transfer attributes or custom fields to the fulfilment service provider, you must create them in JTL-Wawi and then assign them.
- In JTL-Wawi, go to the Warehouses area.
- On the left, navigate to JTL-Fulfillment Network.
- Click Assign product attributes.
- In the Item attributes in the FFN dialogue box, you will now see your existing attributes/custom fields. Activate the check box of the attributes/custom fields that you want to transfer to the fulfilment service provider.
- Optional: As soon as you activate the check box, you can customise the names of your attributes/custom fields. This makes sense if you know the attribute names of your fulfilment service provider. This means that different attribute names are directly assigned to the fulfilment service provider.
- Once you have activated all desired attributes/custom fields, click Save and synchronise items.
Note: If you make changes to your items, make sure that they are updated for your FFN. To automate this process, you can also use a workflow. Read here how to create this workflow.
Note: The data is transmitted directly to JTL-Fulfillment Network. You do not normally have to carry out a synchronisation. If your fulfilment service provider has not received the assigned item attributes, your fulfilment service provider should check whether a synchronisation has already taken place. Furthermore, your fulfilment service provider might still need to assign the item attributes they have received. For more information as a fulfilment service provider, go here.
