We are currently still building up the English documentation; not all sections have been translated yet. Please note that there may still be German screenshots or links to German pages even on pages that have already been translated. This guide mostly addresses English speaking users in Germany.
Importing and exporting with JTL-POS
You do not have to enter data into JTL-POS manually. Thanks to the convenient CSV import function, you can import files from other systems, such as JTL-Wawi, quickly and easily.
How to
Import
Export
You can import almost any data needed in JTL-POS via the import function. In addition to item and category data, you can also import customer data, settings, and printer settings. If you ever need to edit entire chunks of data, you can export the data quickly, edit it in a spreadsheet software, and then import it again.
Backing up
Restoring
Daily database backups are essential, so that you do not risk losing data in a failure incident. You can simply send your database backups from JTL-POS directly to your email. Alternatively, you can store your database on an internal memory drive. Database backups also make it easy to transfer settings from one cash register to another. Even loading the database is done in just a few easy steps.
