Creating customer groups

Prerequisites

• You have already defined your own discounts in the Manage discounts dialogue box.

Note for users of JTL-POS ERPConnected

• If you operate JTL-POS in ERPConnected mode, all customer groups that you have created in JTL-Wawi are automatically transferred to JTL-POS.
• You can edit customer groups from JTL-Wawi in JTL-POS and assign them an additional discount, for example.
• If you create a customer group in JTL-POS that does not exist in JTL-Wawi, the customer group will not be communicated to JTL-Wawi if you assign a customer in this customer group to a receipt. Instead, JTL-Wawi will assign the default customer group to this customer.
• Therefore, we recommend that you only create customer groups in JTL-Wawi when operating in ERPConnected mode. Read more here: Creating customer groups in JTL-Wawi.

Creating a new customer group

1. Go to Settings > Customer groups to open the Manage customer groups dialogue box.

2. Tap on the Create button (plus icon). The Edit customer group dialogue box will open.
3. In the Name text field enter a meaningful name for your customer group, e.g. Regular customers.
4. Optional: If you want this customer group to be the default customer group, enable the Default option. Now, when you create a new customer, this customer group will already be preselected in their customer master data. This can be changed at any time.
5. Select the relevant discount from the drop-down menu. This discount is valid for the entire range of products and is granted to all members of this customer group.

6. Tap the ✓ button to save the settings.

The new customer group now appears in the overview and you can assign your regular customers to this customer group.
