Credit limits in sales orders
Creating credit limits for customers
Stand: JTL-Wawi Version 1.6.32.1
Your task/initial situation
You want to set a specific credit limit for a customer that they cannot exceed. You would like to receive a warning from JTL-Wawi if the customer does exceed the limit in a sales order.
Creating a credit limit
- Click on the Customers icon to go to the customer management in JTL-Wawi.
- Select the desired customer. Use the filter options in the Search for customer area to search for customers. Alternative: Create a new customer. Read more on the topic here.
- Open the Customer master data by double-clicking on the desired customer.
- In the Payments area, enter an amount in the Credit limit field.
- Confirm your selection by closing the customer master data by clicking Save.
If your customer now exceeds the value you specified in JTL-Wawi in their sales order, you will receive a notification. However, this notification does not prevent you from accepting and delivering the sales order regardless. The decision is yours to make.
Note: Currently, checking for credit limit is only possible for sales orders in JTL-Wawi and not for other platforms such as Amazon.
