Saving item data as attributes

Your task/initial situation

You want to maintain certain data in JTL-POS that is not currently in the JTL-Wawi item master data.

Requirements

Available attributes

In JTL-Wawi, you can save the following attributes for items:

  • PLU (free text): Here you can enter a PLU for the item.
  • Ignore discounts (check box): Activates the check box Ignore discounts in JTL-POS.
  • Issue item quantity on receipts as separate line items (check box): Activates the option Issue quantity on receipt as separate line items in JTL-POS.
  • Print internal receipt (check box): Activates the check box Print internal receipt in JTL-POS.
  • Allow selection of “Eat in tax” or “Take out tax” (check box): Activates the option Allow selection of “Eat in tax” or “Take out tax” in JTL-POS.
  • Item with container deposit (check box): Activates the option Item with container deposit in JTL-POS.
  • Deposit type (description on printout) (free text): Enter the name of the deposit to be displayed on the receipt.
  • Container deposit amount (decimal number): You can use this attribute to specify a deposit amount for the item. Enter the price with a decimal point, e.g. 0.15.

Adding an attribute to an item

  1. In JTL-Wawi, open the item master data of the item to which you want to assign the attribute.
  2. Switch to the tab Attributes/Characteristics.
  3. Click on the button Assign attribute. The dialogue box Assign item attributes appears.
  4. Open the JTL-POS entry and double-click on the attribute you want to assign to the item.
  5. Activate the check box or enter the value for the attribute.
  6. Save all open dialogue boxes. The next time JTL-POS and JTL-Wawi are synchronised, the attribute value is transferred to JTL-POS.
